focusing on Autumn events being held at restored railways. Nothing beats the
great sight, smell and atmosphere of working steam locos and beautifully
restored train stations of yesteryear. Loose yourself and re-live the
spirit and camaraderie of World War II and enjoy the various
steam weekends and diesel galas over the next few weeks. |

The Steam Event
on October 12th and 13th
This event will feature the line's home fleet of steam locomotives hauling trains
as well as possible guest locomotives. An intensive timetable will operate, featuring
passenger trains, demonstration goods trains and more! A great day out for all
the family. |

Railway at War on
September 28th and 29th. The Northampton and Lamport Railway
is recreating 1940s life on the home front with a
special flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight on the Saturday.
Listen to 1940’s music and view vintage vehicles under the watchful eye
of the home guard. |

Diesel Gala on
September 28th and 29th. Join us at the East Lancashire Railway for another must see event, the last full diesel gala of 2013. The timetable will feature locomotives from the railway’s well know home fleet running an all day passenger service alongside guest locomotives. |

Attraction to Visit |

Sand and
Motorcycles Event on September 29th. Leighton Buzzard Railway will
bring out the petrol and diesel locomotives that use to haul sand trains. There
will also be a bit of steam, plus a motor-cycle rally plus miniature train rides
and the working museum display at Stonehenge Works. |
