Driving Experience Days: An Ariel Atom driving experience is a serious treat for petrol
heads, as they will get to check out the immense capability of the
amazing Atom. You'll have a total of 8 laps in a seriously
impressive motor.
The Supercharged Ariel Atom is a little rocket, reaching 60 from a
standstill in just 2.8 head-spinning seconds - only marginally
slower than the £1.6 million Bugatti Veyron! You will feel that
power for an amazing 4 laps, plenty of time and distance to
appreciate the perfect combination of a monster engine and
minimalist, lightweight frame. You'll be welcomed the driving centre in Hertfordshire by the whole
team. You will attend a briefing, which will introduce you to the
Ariel Atom driving experience and cover safety procedures, safe
driving, and driving techniques to get the most from your
experience.
After this it's time to get out on the track for the main event!
First up is 3 sighting laps of the Hertfordshire circuit and1 high speed passenger ride in a
race prepared sports car, driven by the instructor.
This will get you nice and familiar with the track, so that you
know what to expect when you are driving the Ariel Atom! You get to
drive the Atom for 4 crazy laps, giving you a great opportunity to
really get to know how it handles. Next, one high speed passenger lap driven by a professional. Once your experience draws to a
close, you will have a debriefing. To drive in this experience the participant must be aged 17 or over with a full driving licence.
Availability
The Ariel Atom experience in Hertfordshire is available on selected dates throughout the year.
Please note: Saturday date requests will incur an additional £25.00* surcharge which can be paid on booking.

requested to complete a Disclaimer form upon arrival in order to participate

Requirements
To drive in this experience the participant must be aged 17 or over with a full driving licence.
Minimum Height: 5'
Maximum Height: 6'5"
Maximum Weight: 20 stone.
Driving Minimum Age: 17 (must hold a full, valid licence)
Driving Maximum Age: 80
Automatic licences cannot be accepted, as all cars used for the driving experience are fully manual. The centre is happy to accept international driving licences as long as they are valid, and manual driving licences.
Drivers must be fit and healthy - this is a thrilling experience which will raise your heart-beat. If you have any health concerns relating to this experience, please check with a medical professional, prior to booking a date at the track.
This experience has 4 sighting laps and 4 driving laps!
Any participant entering a vehicle will be requested to complete a Disclaimer form upon arrival in order to participate in their experience.
An Optional Damage Liability Reduction will be available to purchase at an additional charge on the day of your experience.
(Instructors have the right to void the waiver if the driver is irresponsible or negligent).

You should expect to be at the driving centre for around ninetyminutes altogether for the Ariel Atom driving.
You will drive for 4 laps, with 4 instructor driven sighting laps in a track preparedsports car as a passenger.

There is a hospitality suite at the centre, and spectators are more than welcome to come along, free of charge, and watch you drive an Ariel Atom.
Where is it Located
What to Wear
Participants will need to be able to wear a helmet that's supplied by the provider, or you're welcome to bring your own.
For hygiene purposes, a balaclava must be worn under your helmet. You can purchase one at the track, if you don't have your own.
If you wear glasses, these must be worn throughout the experience.
Weather
In extreme weather, the Ariel Atom driving experience may not be
safe and may have to be cancelled.
If this happens, your driving experience will be rescheduled to a
suitable day. If you are unsure about the weather on the day of (or
before) your Ariel Atom experience, please contact the
Hertfordshire driving centre directly to discuss.

This week we are going in a completely different direction by talking to Jonny from Drift Limits, boasting the UK’s fastest drifting experience. If you’re a fan of driving days, super cars and all things speedy, then this is definitely an experience worth reading about.
1) Hi Jonny, please explain your journey as ‘Drift Limits’ so far.
Since the early days of getting into motorsport I did a few driving experiences but really felt they lacked integrity for the keen petrol head, I found they were very restricted in terms of how hard you can push the cars. I have been racing for 3 years and then moved onto become an ARDS instructor with the ambition of developing a driving experience where you can really lean about car control and follow our motto ‘ find your limit’ at the UK’s fastest drifting experience.
The type of job it is means you’re constantly on your toes. It can be incredibly rewarding watching guests progress their skills in a short period of time. I guess I’m fortunate in being able to say I love what I do.
2) Yes that must be rewarding, what has been the biggest or most memorable event you have provided?
Ah, so many awesome days! Last week we had Harry Main and Buttsy Butler from Monster come up and play. We also had a demo shoot for Jack Reaper stunts which was good fun despite all the screaming in my ear!
3) Sounds great! Is there any inside information you can give us?
Yes, definitely – come to one of our days and we will divulge! Ha, really just listen to the instructors to get the most out of the day. Be patient and you will progress quicker. Some people find the 3rd gear corner very daunting sideways at 60mph. You have to focus and forget about what you previously thought was possible.
After a session at Drift Limits you’ll come away a better driver and obtain new skills in the car control department. The track experiences allow guests to drive dream cars that are bonkers fast!
4) Do you have any exciting plans for the future that you’d like to tell us about?
Big plans – the track layout is currently being extended and resurfaced, and it is already the fastest drifting experience in the UK. We have a Ferrari 430 GT3 race car and Formula Renaults joining the fleet soon, so we’ll have quite a few more experiences to offer looking forward.
