Hang Gliding Experience Days: This tandem hang gliding experience, in Devon, is a chance to enjoy flying at its purest. Take to the skies with your dual pilot, and soar over stunning countryside and coastline, using nothing but naturally rising air.
The experience takes place along the North Devon coastline, with views of Exmoor National Park. You'll be met by your instructor at the prearranged take-off point, and briefed on what to expect during the flight. Next, you'll be introduced to the equipment and secured in the harness alongside your dual pilot. After a few steps, you'll 'foot launch' from the hillside and take flight! As you admire the views, your instructor will point out the features of terrain and weather that allow the glider to maintain height and even gain altitude. If the conditions are right, you'll then be offered the chance to fly yourself. Free of noisy engines and propellers, you can enjoy a sensation like no other - before reluctantly returning to solid ground.

There is no maximum age for this experience, but you must be
reasonably fit and able to run.

During your Hang Gliding experience in Devon you will get approximately 20 minutes of flying time.
The whole experience will last around 90 minutes.
Please expect to spend anything from 2 - 4 hours at the site.

Please note: There are no facilities up on the hill. All toilets etc are at the meeting place. Please bring any snacks/drinks/picnics along with you.
Where is it Located
What to Wear
Please ensure you wear warm layers during this Hang Gliding Experience (and waterproofs if necessary).
All participants must be wearing sturdy shoes or ankle boots.
All equipment (flying suit, harness, helmet, gloves and balaclava) are provided by the centre.
Weather
All flights are heavily dependent on the weather and can be cancelled at short notice.
In the event that your flight is cancelled, you will be given the opportunity to re-book.
Please ensure you call the centre between 7:30 & 8:30 the evening before your flight to check it is going ahead.
