One Night Stay with Dinner and Fizz at Hunton Park 10979777

We wernt show where all the facilities were, and the pool was closed. The room was lovely, albeit a bit small but food was shocking. We wernt offered our fizz in with our package and the food was literally a microwave meal. We were so gutted as we had been looking forward to this stay.

The hotel grounds were amazing. Not so impressed with our room but breakfast and dinner were also faultless. Free parking and reliable free wifi cant complain.

The hotel is located in a very nice place with a lovely garden! Our hats off to a gardener. However, the hotel rooms are not clean, the windows are filthy, bathrooms are not cleaned properly, tea making facilities are so inadequate . The staff seems polite but inexperienced- not sure how to serve the food and drinks, they need a good manager to train them up. The hotel is not luxurious at all as they advertised. It’s located in a very beautiful ground but the service is below average!!! Please help- we need Hospitality to improve dramatically after such a long lockdown.

We were given this little mini moon gift by my mother in law. Despite the Covid restrictions we decided to book the voucher before it expired and my husband and I were excited about a break. The photographs of the venue imply the hotel is set in a beautiful period building, but this is not correct. The hotel is next to the nice building. When trying to book, I emailed but got no response and then called many times but got through to ‘tesco mobile’ when I finally got through I got cut off and nobody got back to me. I called back the following day and managed to speak to somebody. He initially booked a standard room and when I pointed out the voucher said a superior room he moved us to a ‘superior’ room. The room superior room has a lovely shower but that is about it. The walls are extremely thin and contractors stay at the hotel so from 6am onwards we were woken as our ‘superior’ room was next to a hallway door that was being opened and closed often. The mattress was awful, and thin, and it was as though the springs had gone altogether. The ‘dinner with fizz’ was microwaveable pub good and we were not offered fizz, in fact, they didn’t have a wine list so we ordered a bottle of Malbec thinking it would be included due to there being no fizz, and we were stung with a £30 bill for a screw top watery red. Despite the current climate, the wine glasses were not clean and had visible lipstick marks. The bar and restaurant had no atmosphere and the food was not good. The pool was out of use. All in all, if we had not had a few glasses of wine, we would have driven home and not considered staying there. Extremely disappointed that we wasted our ‘luxury night away’ on this hotel.

The hotel was amazing from outside but inside we were greeted by freezing cold temperatures as the heating had broke, old rough looking room which was tiny. The food was lovely, however the bar staff were pleasant but clueless and it just felt poorly managed. It needs a revamp.

Stayed at Hunton Park Hotel, it took us 20 minutes to get booked in, as the reception didn’t know how to book us in a paid via buyagift. Room had a stained carpet, dead insects on the window sill, a bathroom door with holes and paint peeling off, oh and a stained duvet. Think the hotel were dreaming when they advertise as a 4 star hotel. Unable to use the pool as booked out for lessons. Spend your money elsewhere!!

This was given to us by our family as a first year wedding anniversary present. I was lucky enough find availability for my wife's birthday which was an added bonus. First impressions. When we arrived the hotel was clean, and the staff were very polite and helpful. We were asked what time we would like dinner and were told that the dining room was ner where a wedding party was taking place so their might be a little noise. Nothing to worry about, and we thanked the member of staff for the warning. Best to be prepared. The room was clean, (beautiful bathroom), bed was large with a wonderful mattress. We talked about trying to steal the mattress but never would of got it out of the reception unnoticed.... After we settled into the room we went to explore the gardens which were stunning! Well kept, lovely water fountain and just great character. The fact it was scorching hot was added bonus again. After being out in the hot sun we decided it was time for a drink, so off to the bar we went. If you like cocktails and wine and have great wealth then this is the bar for you. Unfortunately me and my wife do not have great wealth but we do like cocktails and wine..... £18 for two cocktails later then £54 for two bottles of wine with dinner .... Ouch. The drinks prices were very high. This, and the swimming pool is my only moan. The swimming pool as itself, (the pool), is actually quite nice. Its heated, quite big, nice relaxed depth. I liked it. However the walls, the ceiling and the changing rooms need some serious attention. Nothing a lick of paint and some new rooming tiles wouldn't fix. That's it, pool and drinks prices done with. The food and the service was exceptional. When we arrived for dinner at 7pm we were the only people in the restaurant. We were served by a friendly, smiling young lady who couldn't do enough for us. We had chicken and ribs starters, Rib eye steak with all the trimmings and pudding. Amazing quality! I gave the waitress a generous tip. Quality!

Unfortunately the hotel is very dated meaning the facilities could not be used. The swimming pool was dirty and very tired. No where to lounge like a normal poolside.

The staff were helpful nothing was too much bother , dinner was lovely.

Stayed here for 1 night for my husband's birthday. All the staff very helpful, the swimming pool was clean and warm, the room was small but cosy, and the bed was comfortable. The meal in the restaurant was very nice, and hot. We would recommend an overnight stay
