What do I need to know?
- All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
- Your voucher is valid for two people
- Available week round, year round excluding bank holiday weekends and during the Easter holidays
- The experience itself lasts for around 20–30 minutes in total
- Bookings can be made via email only – when booking in, please contact the Welsh Mountain Zoo with your booking reference number and at least four possible experience dates
- Pre-booking is required for this experience, with at least a week's notice preferable (longer for dates requested in school holidays)
- Please note that during busy periods, Animal Encounters can take up to seven working days to be processed
- Minimum age: 7 years
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult
- A maximum of two people may take part in each animal encounter per day and only two animal encounters (each being a different animal) are available each day, subject to keeper availability
- Pregnant women cannot take part in an animal experience without first seeking advice from their doctor and proof will be required
- Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for all weathers and for working with the animals, including trousers and closed toe shoes such as trainers, walking boots or wellingtons – the zoo reserves the right to refuse those who do not wear suitable clothing, without offering a refund
- Participants will be asked to leave if they behave inappropriately or in an unsafe manner that could put themselves, staff and others or animals at risk
- A reasonable level of fitness is required to take part in all experiences
- Not suitable for those allergic to dust, animal fur or bedding
- All participants must be up to date with their tetanus vaccinations
- There will be a protective safety barrier between you and the animals
- All dates are subject to availability
