Theatre Tickets and Afternoon Tea at Patisserie Valerie for Two 11898411

Thought cucumber sandwiches. Ham and yukky mustard were a thing of the past obviously not. Scones were very bland. Maybe I had too high expectations as everyone says how good they are but honestly had better food at a little cafe that do homemade scones. Wouldn't bother eating there again. Sorry to say. Loved the gift pity it was disappointing. Will say I loved it though.

We were greeted and served a lovely tea always asked if we needed anything else and checking we were happy. Using our voucher was really easy

Valeries patisserie was lovely for afternoon tea would definitely go back. Staff were lovely.

Asked what drinks we wanted while on our way in before we had been seated. Cakes okay, but not those displayed in window, didn't get asked if we wanted extra drinks Scones nice

Had a really nice afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie. Great value with unlimited drinks off the meno. No need to book just turn up and give your voucher number

I took my sisters for their birthday to patisserie Valerie in Canterbury while we were on holiday together. We don't get to see each other much so this was ment to be a real treat. We tried to book over the phone, online and eventually in person once we arrived in Canterbury but were told " No need to book, just turn up when your ready" When we arrived 3hrs later at 2.30pm after some sight seeing we were told "Sorry, we have sold out of afternoon tea today!" You can imagine our frustration. Even speaking to the manager to find out why we vould book a table was like drawing blood out of a stone. He told us they were making more scones but would take 40 min, so we again said we wanted a table in 40 min but he said we couldn't book in! Again couldn't confirm if he would have tea for us?? I said I would put up an extremely bad review which he then seamed to change his mind to, suddenly we were seated and being served fresh tea/coffee and miraculously there was afternoon tea for the 3 of us. He made some lame excuse about thinking we wanted tea for 6 people and couldn't that but could fit us 3 in now! The sandwiches, scones and cake were all very nice and we enjoyed it in the end but why did we have to have such an issue in the first place?? That spoilt the treat for us really.

Afternoon Tea was excellent. Food delicious. Service very good. Cafe is in need of refurbishment and toilets need lots of attention.

The afternoon tea was very nice. The scones were warm and a really nice texture. All that came with the afternoon tea was fresh and enjoyable, except I would say the chocolate cake had very little filling and was very dry, But otherwise we would recommend it.
