Overview

Join the craze for glamping - all the fun of camping without the hassle! The wooden pods at Daisy Bank have electricity, heating, light, and carpet, unlike your leaky tent! They are insulated with sheep’s wool and foil, to be warm in winter and cool in summer. There is a heated shower block with hair dryers, so no need to slum it festival-style. You’re still right out in the great outdoors, in 7 acres of rolling Welsh countryside, ideal for walks and near plenty of quaint towns to explore. There are great pubs, restaurants and cafes to tempt you, and also plenty of opportunities to stock up on provisions if you’d like barbecue for yourselves, and eat on your furnished sun deck. The park itself has golf putting, a library, and a shop. There’s even WiFi if you can’t bear to leave the whole world behind on your idyllic break for two. The park welcomes furry friends but not children, so leave them behind and enjoy an adult camping experience for two!

Pleasant break

This is a very clean and well managed site with very pleasant staff and excellent facilities. I would happily stay again in our camper for a night en route south or west. Thee site is designed for caravan and motorhome/camper owners and many caravans are sited long term giving a nice community feel. It’s set out as a series of cul-de-sacs and as an adult only site it’s quiet. However, the pods are not my idea of glamping. There are four, two (as pictured) together near to one facility block and two others separately on the site. Ours was as far away from the loo as possible though close to the dog walk. So while the dogs could have a quick wee, we had a fair walk! Despite this, we didn’t have privacy and since everyone else’s dogs had to walk past us, there were plenty of canine “chats”. We expected the pod to be empty, which it almost was, having a folding foam sofa/bed in which we used as a base for our airbed. Our bed was larger than the base which took a bit of getting used to! When we added our dogs’ beds, the pod was full. It’s well insulated but we needed to sleep with the small window wide open as it became very warm (outside temp about 14 C). There is a lamp and a small heater that we didn’t use but the two plug sockets were very useful. There were no hooks or lines anywhere so everything had to go on the floor, into the car, or onto one of the outdoor chairs. This site is best for people who intend to travel by car to the local walking areas not for walking from directly. The local farmers have somewhat disguised the footpaths so you need a good map to find them Overall, we had a nice break but the site wasn’t what we expected and I don’t think pods suit that environment

Thoroughly had excellent time.

Daisy banks is excellent for a quiet break away. The shower and toilet blocks are modern and clean and glamping pods are equipped with lamp, heater and double plug socket. Plenty of places to see and a great supermarket down the road with a local Chinese takeaway that does English food as well just 10mins away. We will defiantly be returning in the near future.

Fantastic, peaceful location

Daisy Banks is a fantastic site where the staff/owner are incredibly friendly and helpful. The facilities on site were kept very clean and well stocked. The pod was more spacious than we could have imagined although I doubt it would be too comfortable if you are really tall (fortunately we are both quite short!), especially given that the door isn't very high. Other than that we really could not fault our stay at the park and would definitely recommend it to others.

Only 3 good things about this trip . Lady who welcomed us, the weather and the toilets. Daughter bought it as surprise but it cost us more in buying all the equipment. Good if all you want to do is sleep in it !! If it had rained nowhere to put the stove. Two rickety chairs and broken table and only one souton . Apparently you only need one. Owner rude on our departure when we gave comments Won't be back
