Overview
Beautiful Oxford, the city of dreaming spires is perhaps best seen from the river. The stretch of the Thames you’ll see on this fascinating cruise is known as "The Isis” and takes in the University Regatta course, historic Folly Bridge and Christ Church college. You’ll also see the Oxford boat houses, where the new generation of athletic students prepare for the famous Boat Race, and peaceful, quaint Iffley Village. On any one day, you may share the river with rowing eights, large pleasure cruisers and students or tourists messing about on punts! This most lively stretch of the river provides many opportunities to relax and witness the vibrant atmosphere, as well as admire the majestic architecture and sights of fascinating historic significance.

- All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences

- Available week round, from March–November
- Cruises last for approximately 50 minutes at the following times throughout the day – 10am, 10.30am, and 11am
- Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over)
- The boats don't have wheelchair access, but boat staff are happy to assist passengers with limited mobility to embark and disembark
- If inclement weather on the day prevents the cruise from taking place, all measures will be taken to try and re-book you for another date of your choice
- The journey will take approximately one hour
- All dates are subject to availability

We received a warm welcome from the moment we arrived at the venue, the staff were helpful and informative and we enjoyed a lovely coffee whilst waiting to go on board.
The boat was comfortable and the young lady that was our guide was brilliant, amusing and so informative.
A truly enjoyable trip.

The staff in the Folly pub where the boat left from were very friendly and helpful. The staff on the boat were very knowledgeable, and made our parents 80th birthday celebration one to remember! Thank you.

Very enjoyable boat trip

We really enjoyed this 50 minute river trip. Our skipper was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us lots of interesting facts about the buildings and wildlife we passed. Not a trip to take if you want to see the colleges, as most of them aren't visible from the river. We caught a fleeting glimpse of Christchurch! Lovely and relaxing - you can take a drink on board if you get there a bit early to order from the Folly Restaurant. Bring an extra layer as it can get chilly on the river, though rugs are provided.

The blurb about this cruise is deceptive - it should read “from a distance you can see Christchurch College - one of the largest of the Oxford University colleges - with its impressive cathedral” etc
