Overview
Fly Like a Bird and glide over the beautiful North Devon coastline with this tandem hang gliding experience for one. Start off with a full safety briefing and an introduction to the Wills Wing Falcon 3 Tandem hang glider by an experienced instructor. Designed especially for tandem flying, you and the instructor will be harnessed into the glider together before launching from a hill to soar through the skies. You’ll reach heights of between 600 and 1200 feet, where you’ll fly amongst the birds and float in thermal currents for a thrilling and once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience. Admire the breath-taking views of the land and sea below you before you land and debrief. Two weeks after your experience, you’ll also receive a DVD of the flight, interactive GPS track log of your time in the air overlaid on Google Earth and a 5” x 7” photo. It’s a unique experience that’s not to be missed!

- The actual flight lasts around 25 minutes but you should expect the whole experience to last around 90 minutes, spending anywhere between two to six hours at the site
- Minimum age: 7 years
- Minimum height is 3’3”
- Maximum height is 6’3”
- Minimum weight is 3st13lb
- Maximum weight is 14st7lb
- Reasonable fitness and the ability to run is necessary
- Medical conditions must be declared
- Up to seven other participants can fly with the school on the day
- Up to four spectators are welcome to come along to watch. There are no facilities on the hill so it is advisable to bring along snacks and refreshments
- Flights are extremely weather dependent and can be cancelled at short notice – please call between 9am–10am on the morning of your flight to confirm it is due to go ahead
- Dress warmly in base and outer layers, including waterproofs if necessary, with sturdy shoes or ankle boots
- All equipment (flying suit, harness, helmet, gloves and balaclava) is provided
