Beautiful Manor House and Gardens

A lovely Afternoon Tea in a glorious setting. The weather was lovely too which made it all the more enjoyable. The tea itself was very good, finger sandwiches, selection of cakes and topped with scones jam and cream and a glass of fizz! Plenty of tea or coffee all in a lovely setting, we were in a small lounge, table set out really well, comfortable sofas and chairs. A very enjoyable experience.

Afternoon tea was good, nice sandwiches, few cakes, 2 scones with cream. I didn’t have fizz, so was offered sparkling elderflower instead. Hotel ok, the room where you are lacked a bit of character. All in all though, a nice afternoon out.

While the location was great and the manor very pretty, the service was poor and the quality of the food was lacking. Felt like most of their food had been bought in rather than made there and the atmosphere wasn’t that of an afternoon tea.
If you’ve been to afternoon teas before and have a set standard then I would certainly avoid this one.

The welcome was good and the afternoon tea was lovely. It was fresh and there was plenty of it. We were unable to eat all of the lovely cakes and asked for a box to be able to take them home. This was not a problem. Most enjoyable afternoon.

Nobody there to meet us ,had to walk all over ground floor to try and find someone. Only one other couple were there. No atmosphere and poor selection of food. Staff did not pay much attention of any requirements we might have. We had no Fizz dispite your advertising . Would not recommend at all and would suggest you remove from your list of breaks

Delicious Birthday treat

Four of us went for a birthday treat on a wet Tuesday and the house is lovely. Our afternoon tea was delicious but we were the only people there and the service was not as good as it should have been ie we had to go and find staff to bring us more tea or a box for the cakes we couldn’t manage. Two of the ladies with us were elderly and they both commented on the volume of the ‘background’ music which was pretty terrible anyway (dreadful covers of pop/rock music)
All in all, a delicious tea in very nice surroundings slightly spoiled by slow service and irritating music.
