Good but not excellent

Some of the food was great but lacked flavour and therefore quite bland. Champagne was ok and refilled regularly but far from a premium brand.. For the price a little disappointed but overall a pleasant afternoon on a beautiful venue..

Wow...what a delightful experience this was. Beautiful traditional hotel, gorgeous afternoon tea, truly bottomless champagne...our glasses were never empty! Highly recommend this experience! Voucher really easy to use as always...

Absolutely wonderful. Great value for money. Large Tea menu. Fantastic cakes. Ellie was an excellent server. She was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. And the champagne did not stop flowing. Best Afternoon Tea ever. Although the tables are low so had to sit sideways.

The food was delicious but we were very disappointed with the bottomless champagne. We were left with empty glasses for quite some time and had to ask twice for our glasses to be refilled. We had 4 glasses of champagne during the 90 minutes experience which we thought very bad considering it was supposed to be bottomless champagne.

Girls afternoon tea at The Rubens

Fabulous afternoon tea which is different from afternoon teas you have at other restaurants.
Very filling so we were able to take goody bags home with us.
Would really recommend having champagne afternoon tea here and I will definitely be returning for another afternoon tea in the future.

We arrived at The Rubens to be met by the most attentive, caring and happy staff. After being seated at our table and very comfortable sofa we were given the menu. The food was delicious. My husband has gluten and dairy intolerances and they catered for him without fault. And yes the Champagne did keep coming. I would highly recommend this experience
