Wildlife Experience Gifts: Made for budding zookeepers, this three hour wildlife experience gives 8-14 year olds an inspiring behind-the-scenes insight into the role of a real life zookeeper.
The day will begin with a quick safety briefing and run down of the day. Once you are all ready to go, you'll head off around the zoo and spend the next couple hours following in the footsteps of an experienced wildlife guide. They'll teach you all about the resident animals and how to take care of them. From skunks and meerkats to birds and reptiles, you will find out what it takes to keep each creature happy and healthy. With an expert zookeeper showing you the ropes, you'll get involved with cleaning their enclosures, feeding them nutritious meals, and of course handling them! By the end of your experience day, you'll feel like a professional zookeeper.
Perfect for young animal-lovers, this three hour junior zoo keeping experience makes for an exciting day out in Oxfordshire.
Availability
This experience runs on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, subject to availability.
More dates may become available in the school holidays too.
Requirements
There are no specific requirements other than, the child must be aged between 8 to 14 and would be accompanied by one spectating adult.
Unfortunately, the junior zookeeper experiences are not wheelchair accessible.

The Zookeeper Experience will take place in an outdoor bird of prey centre, and is therefore subject to weather conditions. If the experience is cancelled by the centre for any reason, you would be re-scheduled for an alternative date.
