A plus, as well served food, is the historic building with it's garden and woodland walks as a bonus. There is an avenue of redwood trees that is well worth a stroll down.

We were given a voucher for afternoon tea from a dear friend as she knows we love a day out.It didn’t disappoint.We arrived 2 hours early as we were using public transport and wanted to walk round the beautiful grounds.We asked the lady at reception if we could have the afternoon tea any earlier and they took us an hour earlier than we’d booked!We really appreciated this and nothing seemed too much trouble.The sandwiches were amazing,moist and plump fillings.The scones were especially good with lots of jam and cream.The wee cakes and meringues were so good,I was struggling to find a favourite as they were all so tasty.We were also given some home made ice cream which was so good,with real pieces of strawberry in it.I am not sure if this was a little extra surprise but it was just the most delicious thing.We really enjoyed the experience at Carberry Tower and would recommend it highly.
