Sparkling Afternoon Tea for Two at Marco Pierre White's New York Italian 10758745

Yesterday, I went along for my afternoon tea. It was a very warm day and our table was under a glass skylight. We asked to be moved and the staff were very accommodating. We soon settled down to our glass of bubbles in the air conditioned room. After choosing our preferred tea, our selection of goodies arrived. The presentation and selection was great. Unlike the glass of bubbles, our tea was bottomless! We drank our tea in lovely cups, service was excellent in our clean and tidy environment. Would highly recommend this.

Booking very easy. Prompt welcome and shown to table. Quickly, nice ambience. Choice of teas and platter of food was delicious. Staff were very attentive, no complaints. Would recommend to friends. I don’t know how much this cost but we enjoyed the afternoon..

Thankfully BuyAGift extended this voucher which was given pre-Covid. The afternoon tea was average - the one scone each was small and definitely not freshly cooked on the day. The sandwich fillings were good, bruschetta OK, macaron and carrot cake were delicious. I don't think I'd have paid for this afternoon tea myself.

The food was delicious well presented and plenty of it. Felt like we were in a hotel restaurant though which is why it got 4 stars.

Gave dietary requirements when booking host confirmed these on arrival but kitchen sent food without taking these into consideration bruschetta was just stale hard bread was given mushrooms in a roll? Never had that before been to this place 3 times previously but sadly won’t be returning after this visit

Not too sure on this…welcome from Marco Pierre White was good but…afternoon tea was poor. Choice of cakes and pastries was terrible. 2 macarons and an individual carrot and walnut cake which looked like it had come out of packet. No pastries. Not what you expect from Marco Pierre White brand. The salmon and cream cheese roll was embarrassingly small. Not quite the ‘experience’ we were expecting sadly.

Very poor experience. Food was average and plain. Very bread heavy and entirely unimaginative. We commented that the chocolate cake item could have been bought from M&S. customer service was completely poor. They ‘forgot’ our order and didnt even bring us tea. We had to chase out drinks, change our food and even had to ask for clotted cream to go with our warm scones that were cold by the time we got them. Will not be recommending.
