We were given a two night stay in this B&B as a Christmas present so we did not really know what to expect but did not expect anything as nice as this place. The house was very nice, located in a quiet spot with pheasants wandering around the pleasant gardens, plus a couple of young wild rabbits chasing each other. Our room delightful, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with views of the sea in the distance beyond the lovely rolling green hills of the region. There was a wide ranging breakfast menu with lots of local produce all cooked and presented superbly. The hostess was very friendly, welcoming and eager to offer advice on the locality. We often zoom on the motorway straight past this region on our way further down the coast and had forgotten how nice the country side is around here. Lots of places to eat not too far away, catering for all tastes. We liked it so much we have already booked another stay later in the year.

Fantastic bed and breakfast in a very beautiful location. The room was very clean and wonderfully decorated with lots of room in both bedroom and bathroom, we were lucky to get the room with the bathroom having a bath and shower. Mel was very welcoming and helpful with anything we asked of her. Breakfast was very good and the cooked breakfast was very hot. Everywhere was very clean.

Super location for exploring

I have never been to a guest house before that was so friendly, on arrival superb greeting and even though tea and coffee facilities available a fresh coffee and tea were brought to the room. It was a double aspect room with one view over Minehead and the other over Exmoore, It was so quite at night no traffic noise, everywhere was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was local produce as well as homemade jams, the Dunster plum jam is to die for, cannot wait to go back

This is a beautiful place to stay. Very quiet as it is away from the road. Mel is a very welcoming host and Rick cooks a lovely breakfast. It is a very clean B & B and you can come and go as you please. They have some Cottages to let which we would like to stay in as a longer break.

We bought this gift for ourselves as a little treat after the gloom of winter. We had a lovely time in Somerset - Cedar House is in a beautiful location and was a peaceful and very comfortable base for some gorgeous walks. We will undoubtedly visit again!

What more could I have asked for? Cedar House is in a lovely location, ideally placed for exploring, and has great views of both the edge of the moors and of the sea. Very peaceful setting and our hostess definitely had the mostest as far as looking after us went! She even booked a table at a local restaurant for us as we had arrived late evening, and the breakfasts she cooked for us were fantastic! This weekend away was just what the doctor ordered :)
