I booked at short notice bank holiday Monday and Sam sorted the booking so quickly via email! Fantastic service from start to finish! Everything was amazing especially the soup and mini trifle ! Will definitely book again!

Beautiful setting, lovely decor in room, clean table and surroundings. The best afternoon tea we’ve had! One serving was gluten-free and both servings were fresh, wonderfully tasty and well-presented. We’ll be back and will recommend to others. Lovely polite staff, Sam and her colleague. Thanks!

All the food was very tasty but not enough sandwiches. The scones were extremely nice . The tea pot was very heavy and the cups, plates etc. were big chunky stoneware . A would have preferred a finer pottery for my afternoon tea. No table linen other than napkin Loved the Byron references on the wall

Can't fault food or service today they were both excellant but was disappointed to have to pay £3 car parking fee

Colwick Hall is a fine OLD building so expectations were high as it's in the city. Our afternoon tea looked nothing like those given to other guests today. As we were using our gift voucher we were offered no choice, even though we had asked for a special Jubilee tea when phoning to book this experience. The sandwiches were very good but the cakes were nothing like those given to others, when questioned we were told that we had the basic tea and nothing special. Just to put the icing on the cake the car park is guarded by number plate recognition and is free for the first 30 mins but only £3.00 for the next 24 hrs, this system was difficult to use even with the manager in attendance. The hotel etc. is advertised with free parking for customers and is no where near 4 star.
