Product details - Day1your tour starts from dublin heuston station as you take the  07.00 intercity train to limerick breakfast available.  your train leaves dublin travelling through the countryside of county kildare passing the curragh pronounced curra famous for its racecourse and home of the irish derby. Shortly after the curragh the train passes kildare, looking south you see st. Brigid’s church, completed in 1223.the train stops at  portlaoise before continuing to templemore passing loughmoe castle, built in the 15th century it was lived in until 1760. The next stop is thurles, home of the gaelic athletic association gaa ireland’s national sports body founded here in 1884.change trains at limerick junction for the limerick bound train, your seats may not be reserved for this short journey.  it is advisable to use the ladies gents facilities on the train before arrival in limerick to ensure a swift transfer from the station to the tour bus.0900 arriving in limerick you join your  tour coach passing through limerick and as you cross the shannon ireland’s longest river there are magnificent views of king john’s castle completed in c1200.  limerick was granted city charter in 1197ad making it older than london!0945 arriving at bunratty castle, admission is included. The castle completed in 1425 has been restored to its former glory, along with the village buildings which were dismantled and rebuilt brick by brick at their present location. Even the 18th century church was relocated to its present position using this method!1230  a stop for lunch at o’ connor’s pub in doolin before continuing onto the cliffs of moher –among the highest sea cliffs in europe. You have plenty of time to visit ireland’s second most popular tourist attraction and your host will advise you of the departure time.you continue your tour with a scenic trip along the coast road, with time for photos along the burren national park. Burren means rocky place and the unique lunar landscape of limestone was described in 1649 by one of oliver cromwell’s men as “no tree to hang a man, no water deep enough to drown him and no soil deep enough to bury him”.  today it is noted for its diverse flora with few parallels elsewhere in ireland or indeed, europe.as time permits, you may have a short stop here for photographs, before continuing along the coast road to black head, passing the quaint coastal villages of ballyvaughan and kinvara before joining the main road to galway. 1700 arriving in galway, your host will direct you to your hotel. The rest of the evening is free.day 210.00 you should be at galway station waiting room on the train platform, to meet your host who will arrive at 1005, on the 0730 dublin to galway train.at galway station you transfer to bus for a tour of connemara leaving galway you pass through moycullen, with glimpses of the corrib river, as the road rises and falls towards the lovely village of oughterard on the shores of lough corrib, regarded as ireland’s premier angling centre. as the gateway to connemara opens, the breathtaking colours of the unspoilt countryside reveal natures splendour. At maam cross, the connemara crossroads, there is a replica of the cottage used in filming of 1950's john wayne and maureen o'hara film the quiet man.from maam cross your tour heads out to leenane, kylemore abbey and letterfrack, in the shadow of purple mountains rolling down to blue and green rocky valleys, reflecting the rich and varied colours of connemara.  leenane is a located at the foot of the mountains on killary harbour and is acclaimed as ireland’s only fjord. You have time for lunch and a visit to the gift shops at kylemore abbey an 18th century castle now owned by benedictine nuns.  at clifden, one of irelands leading holiday resorts, you may be amazed to learn that near by at derrygimlagh bog, aviation history was made when alcock and brown crash landed after their historic transatlantic flight in 1919.outside clifden is the dan o'hara pre famine farm circa 1840, fronted by a replica of an ancient irish crannóg or lake dwelling. As you leave maam cross again turning southwards through  screeb, costello and rossaveal, the ferry point for the aran islands and a major fishing port. This is an  area where the irish is the everyday language.on certain days the route through clifden is not used –please check with your host driveryour tour of connemara heads homewards towards galway city along the along the shores of galway bay, passing inverin and spiddal, with views across the blue waters of the atlantic, at the unique lime stone of the burren and the hills of clare. In spiddal there is a craft village and the standun sweater shop. After your day's touring you will be returned to galway.you should be at galway station at 1900 to take you reserved seats on the last train to dublin leaving at 1915 arriving dublin heston at 2145.
