Tel 023 928 39766 A visit to the dockyard takes you on a journey through time, allowing you to step onboard historic ships and understand the past, present and future, from Henry VIII’s The Mary Rose to Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory to the most powerful warship HMS Warrior 1860 to HMS M.33 Gallipoli 1915.

Horsham West Sussex. Tel 01403 254959 With our ever changing temporary exhibitions, award winning gardens and 26 galleries there is always something different to see every time you pop in. The museum covers subjects from local trades to fashion, and prehistory to the poet Percy B. Shelley, there's always something to discover.

East Hendred Oxfordshire. Tel 01235 833453 or 01235 821796 Built in 1453 for Carthusian monks the museum contains a history and memorabilia of East Hendred; village artefacts, pictures, documents, books and photographs. At Snells Hall there is also an erected home for the village 1831 horse drawn and hand powered fire pump.

Eastbourne East Sussex. The museum, completely refurbished in 2011, houses collections and displays showing the history of the Eastbourne lifeboats since 1822, when the first lifeboat came on the scene at Eastbourne. Whilst in the museum read about The Jane Holland at Dunkirk and the rescue of the lighthouse keeper in 1966.

Tenterden Kent. Tel 01580 764310 Housed in a two storey weather boarded building, one of the last representatives in the area of the type of industrial building used in the latter part of the 19th century. Discover the town's history with displays relating to local hop picking, Cinque Ports and Victorian times, bringing local history to life.
